Our Favourite Summer Spots
Spending summer vacations with maximum fun is an integral part of every Manitobans plan. We try to make sure our employees Enjoy The View! We have gathered a list of some of their favourite Manitoba summer spots. Everyone has a different favourite spot and each of these spots has a unique enjoyment factor.
The Brandon Hills
Kristin Andrews & Holly Balcain chose The Brandon Hills as their favourite spot for a quick nature fix. They have a number of great reasons to make this choice. Brandon Hills is a leisure-time spending spot found south of the city of Brandon, Manitoba, Canada. Brandon Hills comprises of moving slopes, mud swamps, glades and extensive blended forests of aspen and oak trees. Amid the spring months the trails are canvassed in snowberry, wolf willow and different blossoms which illuminate the trails with hues.
Janet Manser proclaimed her love for the Minnedosa beach and chose it as her favourite summer spot. Minnedosa is a tranquil and enjoyable summer spot for her. Minnedosa beach is beside the Minnesoda lake; its scenic beauties are glorified during the summer. Many fun activities can be performed here including beach volleyball, swimming, picnics and just enjoying the great outdoors.
Onanole RV Resort
Bonnie Plett chose Onanole as her favourite spot to spend the summer. This is because she finds the wide variety of wild life and all the camping opportunities truly a great source of joy. Found one-hour north of Brandon Manitoba Canada. Onanole RV Resort is an alluring RV Camping Resort scratched from the thick boreal backwoods of Riding Mountain National Park. Regular occupants acknowledge simple access to the sandy shorelines of Clear Lake, to the trails that breeze through the untamed wilds of the national stop and all the shopping and urban fervor at the resort town of Wasagaming.
Many, including Angie Johnston, Derek McGregor & Kaitlyn Doherty chose Pelican Lake as their favourite summer spot. They described Pelican Lake as a place to forget all their stress and enjoy their summer. The Pleasant Valley golf course located at the South end of the lake is one of a kind, it’s both fun and challenging, set in the picturesque Pembina Valley . Pelican Lake is located just 50min South of Brandon and is the biggest traverse-able lake in South Western Manitoba.
The lake has been a prevalent recreational territory since the turn of the twentieth century when trains brought guests, cottagers and campers from Brandon and Winnipeg. The lake territory is also well known for water skiing, cruising, angling, a wide assortment of water activities for campers and cottagers.
Oak Island Resort
Nate Andrews chose the Oak Island resort. He loves the golf course and the fact that he has so much fun with his family here. The campground offers 2 pools, golf, markets, frozen yogurt shop with fast food take out, arranged exercise activities and on location security. The full administration marina incorporates a service station, angling and fishing tackle, dock rentals and awesome fishing for Pickerel, Jack and Perch. Golf aficionados can appreciate a round at the Oak Island Golf course, which is an 18 hole Championship Golf Course. Riels eatery and parlor is a great place to stop in for refreshment or supper.
Summer, Exploring & Family
Noelle Sorensen had quite a different answer, she preferred spending time with her family and embracing the Manitoba summer.
Similarly, Teressa Morran suggested sitting around the fire with family and friends enjoying conversation, tasty smores and lots of laughs was what made her Manitoba summer enjoyable.
Marria Davidson says exploring in our yard, finding bugs, leaves shaped like hearts, and spotting Robyn’s eggs brings so much joy to our family while we spend summer time together.
Chelcie Cracknell mentioned having her new patio deck in her back yard makes her Manitoba summer peaceful and always sunny.
